As a part of the Beijing Motor Show, the official presentation of a completely new crossover coupe Mazda CX-4 took place.
As mentioned above, the appearance looking like a concept, not so chic of course, but there is something catching the eye. The front part is rather large, as the head lighting LED lights in the form of drops are used. The front part is decorated with the grille in the corporate style of the company, with the same icon in the form of wings.
The front bumper is massive, with a large open part for the air intake and the small holes on the sides for fog lights. Some details of the front part looks similar to a younger brother CX-3.
The side part is made in sporty style, here are large wheel arches with inflated forms. Wheels are also rather big, 19 inches.
The rear part, as befits a coupe, gradually comes out of the roof, is equipped with a large tailgate and a large angle of inclination of the rear window. The rear lights also stands out by their unique style, made with LED with 3D graphics. Rear bumper matches the front, large and having serious plastic cover to protect from small damages.
And as for the interior, here the changes are minimal, slightly modified front panel and center console, slightly changed layout of the controls, as for the rest, those who have been in the cabin of CX-3 and CX-5 will not find any changes.
In addition to the already known, can be identified the possibility of selection of colors of the interior to your taste, it can be black, beige, white and red interior. Basic package boasts a multimedia system with a display of 7 inches, which includes all the popular functions (navigation, cameras, wi-fi, USB etc.).
Available is climate control, front and rear, and integrated security system (cruise control, markings and signs recognition system, automatic braking in front of an obstacle or a pedestrian, adjustable headlamps, mirrors blind spot monitoring, etc.).
It is noteworthy that the CX-4 is designed on the basis of the CX-5, which means there is enough space in it. Only the suspension settings were changed (independent, front on MacPherson struts, rear – multi-link) to ensure stability. In fact, the 4th version is the same as the 5th, but with a sporty character.
In the engine compartment will accommodate 2 engines:
Gasoline SkyActive-G 2.0 with a maximum output of 156 horses and a torque peak of 202 Nm mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It is mounted on front-wheel drive version, a hundred consumption will be about 6.5 liters in mixed mode;
SkyActive-G 2.5 installed on all-wheel drive version, the maximum power of 192 hp and torque of 253 Nm. It works well paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and uses 7.2 liters per hundred in a mixed mode.
